Friends & family fun!

A group of my dietitian friends try to get together once a month with all our kids.  This month it was at Kim's house and we had special treats! Evan liked the orange cream bar, but it was cold on his little teeth.

check out this play house!

Last week we had special visitors from Arizona.
Dave and Patt Kerr, long time family friends made a stop to say "hi" and see the kids.
They met Samuel, Evan and Reuben for the first time.

Off to Belknap Springs to see Maggie (my cousin from Idaho) and Grandma(s) & Pappa
Grandma always has fun snacks in her trailer :)

Summer days

like father like son. These two look like trouble!

Reuben & Austin

Reuben is growing so fast!  He is starting to have fun during our play dates too.

Evan found his own little snack.

It is so much fun to take pictures with my new camera.  I keep it handy for moments like this when Evan creates his own props.  He is no longer on his knees when there are objects he can pull himself up to stand. This kid will be walking before I know it!  Slow down Evan and stay small a little bit longer!
This weeks new skill: Stairs.  Yes he can climb the stairs.

Summer Begins!

Is child labor illegal?  This was his idea and the door came out sparkling clean.

We will have to take this picture every month or so. These guys get more entertaining as time goes on & are so much fun!  Gotta love cousins!

April 2011

Austin is such a sweet and caring big brother (I know I've said this before)  As I was making a pie, Austin noticed Evan had a paper cut.  He wasted no time in grabbing a paper towel & then his brother to administer first aid.  Evan wasn't too happy about getting held there, but he allowed Austin to apply pressure for a little while.  It's moments like these that make staying home with them totally worth it!

My dino blueberry pie!
Anyone is welcome to come over and try a piece.

Austin took the left over pie crust dough and made his own "cookies"

Austin's last day of preschool

Austin started out at ELC for daycare back in March 2009.  When I quit work after Evan was born, Austin enjoyed going here so much that we decided to enroll him in the preschool only so he could socialize and have some time away from the house.  He went there 2 days a week with a big smile on his face & a hop, skip and a jump with his projects in hand on the way out.  He's having a hard time understanding summer break or the idea that he will never go there for school again.  We'll hope he loves his new school, where ever that may be just as much as he has enjoyed ELC.

He started out with Ms. Lori in the 3 year old class & then has had Ms. Kristie for 4-5 year old preschool.  All the teachers have had Austin in their class either with school or daycare.  We will miss this place for sure.  It was beach party day in celebration of the last day of school.  Austin was so excited to wear his beach/Hawaii shirt, shorts, hat and sandals.
