New Dentist

Austin did a great job getting his teeth cleaned.  We have a new rinse to keep his teeth strong too.
See the dentists website to find out more, but I am happy with the care we received so far.  I find out tomorrow if I have any new problems or hopefully can report cavity free too.  By my past record though, I'm thinking there may be a few :(

Our dentist in Redmond was really pushing the use of xylitol and I have read many benefits of daily use myself.  So Dr. Kutsch actually has a side business of researching and making his own products.  He can also test your mouth for the cavity causing bacteria and then give you some products to reduce it.  One of my first seminars as an RD was actually on this subject.  I can't wait to see what my results are.  Stay tuned.

time is flying!

So where have I been?  I was on-line at the Costco photo center and ready to order the last few months worth of pictures to add to my albums.  When I began flipping through the pages I discovered it was last October since I had added anything new (except Christmas card photos which were sent to us)  Really? where could have the months went?  I was so good about keeping up on this that I am second guessing that maybe I miss placed the photos?  After a 100 print photo order I will be up to date.  I really pick and choose what pictures I put in the albums so this is a conservative number.  I figured all the photos are downloaded and saved digitally so later if I need more they will be there.

Evan was given 2 new homemade blankets recently from some very dear friends & family.

Evan is adding more and more foods to his plate.
He's my little eater and doesn't skip a meal.  Some of his new favorites are waffles & cheerios.  He is also starting to enjoy the samples at Costco...or at least the soft ones.  He still only has one bottom tooth, but is getting better at "chewing" really soft food.  I'm still blending most of it since that is the safest way for him to eat.  Next to try; meat!

the best tool for making baby food I have found.
I buy canned, no salt added & try to find organic vegetables  and then blend them at home. This has been way cheaper than buying prepared baby food & I control how much water is added.

updates

Evan has figured out how to walk in a circle.  He is learning new things everyday.

Chris had storm duty a few weeks ago & it all started on our drive back to Albany from Bend.  Here's a few pictures of what we encountered on the road.  I LOVE my flip video camera. These pictures are pulled off of the video I had taken.

This was in the road & had taken out the power lines East of Sweethome

Just a few more miles down the road another tree fell. Thankfully the locals had chainsaws & were able to cut a path to open up the flow of traffic. Chris got 2 calls back to back after this was cleared to head into work.  I barely saw him for the next week.  It was one short, strong wind storm that hit the valley & did lots of damage.

To start spring break Grandma Eileen took us for a weekend trip to Lincoln City.
Here's what my back seat looked like. Full of kiddos! They did so well & we had a great time.

Samuel and Evan are becoming great buds.  Evan tries to grab Samuel, who is big enough now to get away.  I just can't wait to see once Evan starts to crawl what will happen with these two. They are such a joy to watch grow.

Where's Samuel?

Evan's tooth

For all of you that have asked for a picture of Evan's new tooth, I give you a video :)
He doesn't hold still very long, so the pictures were not turning out well.
Enjoy!

Playdates & other fun

Bath time!

Bradley & Austin; doing what boys love to do.

I love this picture. Austin looks like he has lipstick on when it was actually very chapped lips.

Evan has my blue eyes...so far.

The boys trying out the new shelter tent before we take it to the coast with us in 2 weeks.  I think it will work great to block the wind & weather for the little guys when we're at the beach.

Trip to meet Lilah

Evan & I took a quick weekend trip to Sacramento to meet Lilah.  Evan did great on the plane.  The flights were not full, so he had is own seat...which was wonderful for me.  He slept most of the time while we were in the air and proved to be a great little traveler.
