Austin and the kitty

I finally taped Austin saying the cats name. Everytime I grab the camera he stops saying it until now :) If you need translation....he's saying "chester" It will be dark at first but then I turn the light on and you can see everyone.

Superbowl Sunday

Today we took a drive to Walton Lake (past Prineville just over an hour from our house) to check out the fishing. Chris had read in the Bend Bulletin that the fish were biting really good. We arrived to this........

The frozen lake :)

The picture is not cut off, its the snow drift we were standing in...yes we are wet and cold. Did not come prepared for snow. It was 60 degrees when we left Madras. I was in my tennis shoes and short ankle socks.

We then stopped in Prineville to have lunch at Pizza Hut. I hadn't eaten there since high school. We were there for 2 hours!!! Not because we wanted to be. The waiter gave us the football special of buffalo wings and bread sticks, then forgot to start our pizza. Thankfully Austin was very good and was able to wait for the pizza to cook.

On our way back home we saw these (total of 30 in the group)......

Antelope are not too common in this area. They are usually seen further southeast. I got out of the car to take pictures which prompted another car to stop too. I felt like we were on a wildlife safari.

Made it back to watch half of the football game. Can't say I was too impressed with the commercials.
