Austin had a busy & fun Sunday. We started out our day at church. We are really enjoying the Grace Bible Fellowship church in Tangent. Austin was officially added to the Sunday school sign up sheet and has his own number (if there's a problem they post the # so Chris & I know to go get him). He really enjoys the activities and memorizes a verse every Sunday. He is "tested" before we pick him up & gets gummy bears if he remembers. What fun! Chris also found a friend from high school that attends with her husband and almost 2 year old boy. It's fun to be getting to know a few people.
Okay so after church Austin went to Miriya's birthday party. She's a little girl in his preschool class that lives just down the street from us. I've been really bad about getting involved with kids in his class and going to "extra" things, so since I had already met Miriya's mom I figured we should go. It started out in Corvallis at the Bounce House. For 75 minutes the kids ran around, jumped, played and had a blast. Austin drank 32 ounces of water and came out hot, red, sweaty and with a great big smile! Next we drove back to our house, got Chris and walked down the street for pizza, salad, cake and ice cream. To our surprise a couple from our church was there! They live just down the street too and all the kids play together. It was a lot of fun to get to visit with nice families that have kids about the same age & live so close. Austin didn't want to leave of course, but it was after 6:30 p.m. and we all needed some shut eye. What a great Sunday!
