Christmas 2011

We took a drive to Bend this year for Christmas.  Andy & Becky were able to drive over for one night too so we could see them.  In just a month of not seeing them, those boys grew!  Samuel was able to get some Austin time as you can see below.  I think they missed each other.

After spending the afternoon at Grandpa & Grandma Franklin's house, we unloaded all our stuff to stay the weekend at my parents house.  A bubble bath always feels so nice after a 5 hour drive!

Austin finally was able to drive the 4 wheeler solo.  He was so proud of himself.

Tree hunting

Candycane bliss!!!!!

The man we bought our tree from gave us all candycanes.  Since Austin opened one and started eating it, Evan had to have one too. This is his first taste of a candycane and I think by the look on his face, he is enjoying it.

 It was freezing when we went to get our tree.  I got out to take only a few pictures and then home we went.

Christmas is coming!

One of the traditions I started to do with Austin is making cut out sugar cookies.  He loves to roll out the dough, cut the cookies out, put them on the pan, (I bake them) & decorate each and every one.  He makes sure I don't decorate too many because he has plans for all of them.

Evan is trying his best to help, however he thought playing in the sink water was way more fun than making the dough.

My little chef. He is such a good cook.  Once the dough was made, he was able to do the rest all by himself.

He is growing up so fast!

 He wanted nothing to do with the tubes of frosting...just to pick the frosting off and eat it.
