Weekend in Bend

Austin and I headed to Bend Friday morning for a weekend full of fun!  Our first stop was Dandy's.  A local burger drive-in that has been open since my parents were in high school.  The food has such a unique flavor that sometimes nothing else will do.  From there we found another tag along (Isaiah) and headed to the farm.  The boys had a blast!  They had to check out all the gopher holes, watch the cows, play in the irrigation sprinklers, got a first hand look of how to make hamburger (they were just finished cutting up a beef)  & of course got soaking wet in the process.

Give kids a little wide open space, a few sprinklers & some critters and they'll keep themselves busy for hours.
Isaiah and Austin playing at Grandpa and Grandma Franklin's house.

Saturday was my baby shower hosted by Michaela & Becky.  Her house was decorated so cute.  The theme was "cowboy" and they did a great job!  We enjoyed Apple Pie with whipped cream & fresh fruit. Yummy!

Austin checking on Grandpa and Grandma's chickens. He got the biggest kick out of picking them grass and watching them eat the seeds off the end.

Sunday we headed to Redmond to stay a night with Michelle.  The boys played non stop!

Here's Dylan and Austin all dressed up in their hunting outfits.  I think a bear was in sight!

Maggie stopped by & well....she was attacked :)

Oh Diane, that "Bear-hunting" picture is hysterical!!! You are a wise mamma to let your boy have the great pleasure of being a boy.
